A hundred years ago, the Th. Steinweg Nachf. piano was highly appreciated by many famous pianists and artists, such as Lala Schumann, Franz Liszt and Artur Rubinstein.

Th. Steinweg Nachf.Brand is to pay tribute to Friedrich-Grotrian, Henri Steinweg, Theodor Steinweg and the fourth generation of Grotrian Steinweg inherits the great pianists and piano makers of the ancestors, to promote the development of piano manufacturing contribution. Th. Steinweg Nachf. piano also adheres to the ideals of predecessors, tracing the dream piano in the minds of artists and musicians.

 Great historical contributions of literature introduction 

"In 1830, Friedrich-Grotrian, a world-renowned luthier, left Germany for Moscow. Taking advantage of the Czar and his German wife, Empress Katarina, who liked classical music, he quickly opened a musical instrument shop in Moscow and used his expertise to produce pianos locally. He named the first piano he produced after himself. During his stay in Moscow, Godric Grotrian, as a musical instrument merchant, got to know many of the world's outstanding musicians and artists from all over the world, such as Carrara Schumann, Franz Liszt, Artur Rubinstein and so on, and became close friends. Here he constantly listened to the opinions of these musicians and artists, and according to the opinions of these musicians and artists, he specially crafted a piano that these musicians and artists dreamed of. From then on, Friedrich-Grotrian began the long road to build a high-end piano brand.

Friedrich-grotrian returned to Germany from Moscow in 1835 and met the young piano maker Theodor Steinweg & Grotrian Steinweg, one of the founders of Sons Piano, persuaded him to join his company, which set out to create the piano that the masters of music and art had dreamed of, and started the brand by building a large modern factory in Braunschweig.

The young Mr. Theodor-stanweg designed and built the piano. In recognition of Theodor Steinweg's work on piano design, Friedrich-Grotrian decided to name his new piano after the two surnames of the man who would become the world's first popular Grotrian Steinweg

Since then, the piano was born. Because of its beautiful sound, exquisite advanced manufacturing technology and more than 100 improvements and patented inventions, the Grotrian Steinweg piano has been recognized by all pianists around the world and entered its heyday.

Friedrich-grotrian died suddenly in 1860, leaving an underage son unable to inherit his father's business. In 1865, Theodor Steinweg, lost in his understanding and wandering, was asked by his father to go to New York and join the Steinweg & piano company they had founded in the United States. Sohns piano factory, and later sold all of his Grotrian Steinweg pianos, including his own label, Th.Steinweg Nachf. Shares and rights to the Grotrian Steinweg family.

After Theodor-Steinweg left the Braunschweig arena, Th.Steinweg Nachf. The entire investment in the piano was solely undertaken by the Grotrian Steinweg family. Over the years, Th.Steinweg Nachf. After more than 150 years of all kinds of sweet and bitter, World War I, World War II, as a defeated country, Germany was treated unfairly by the victors of the United States. Grotrian Steinweg Piano Company was not immune, and suddenly received from New York Steinweg & Sons, asking Grotrian Steinweg Company to give up the name of Steinweg, two hundred years of estranged and unknown family descendants of the long decades of legal proceedings, later both sides paid a heavy price, on February 22, 1980, the two family representatives finally reached an out-of-court settlement. Grotrian Steinweg may continue to own the Steinweg trademark and marketing rights throughout Europe. Outside Europe, with the exception of certain countries, Steinweg & Sons Piano Company (Steinweg& Sons) owns the trademark and marketing rights, and outside Europe and in countries where the agreement does not permit, Grotrian Steinweg can only sell the brand without the surname.

After numerous trials and tribulations and historical changes, the Grotrian Steinweg piano is still highly praised by all walks of life ".
